Hi I'm Brian

I grew up milking cows on a farm. I'm a husband and father of 4 girls and a little boy. I love photography. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up on a farm in Southeast Idaho. I'm the youngest of 12 children. 6 boys, 6 girls. To feed our large family, we grew our own vegetables and raised cattle and hogs. I learned to work hard and rely on God for needed blessings. When I was 17, my parents were suddenly called to Church service in Central America, I moved with them and spent a year in a completely different culture seeing, hearing, smelling, and doing things I had never imagined. I learned to rely on God much like Joseph in Egypt had to rely on God. He was a young man about my age and was suddenly taken to a place quite foreign to himself. This experience helped develop my faith and know God cares about me and I could do difficult things. I served a mission for the LDS Church in Santiago, Chile from 1994-1996 and taught those wonderful beautiful people the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I worked my way through college and found my eternal companion there. We were married in 2003 and we now have 4 beautiful girls and a little boy. I'm an avid photographer and college football fan.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I know God lives, Jesus Christ is His son and our Savior and Redeemer. He really lives and has called prophets to lead and guide us today. I know this is true. I've prayed and found out for myself that Christ leads and guides his Church through living prophets. Living the gospel of Jesus Christ and keeping his commandments makes me so happy.

How I live my faith

Foremost, I am a husband and father. No calling or assignment could be more important. It's my duty and responsibility to lead and guide my family in love and righteousness. I try my best and make many mistakes every day, but the Gospel of Jesus Christ makes me a better father and husband than anything else ever could. In my ward, I am the ward clerk. I help the Bishop and his counselors with records and assist them in meetings and help them stay organized so they can help everyone in the ward with whatever they need or are struggling with. I am also a home teacher to three families. I visit them every month and teach them and help them with whatever they need. Some of these families are not very strong. Some of them don't come to Church very much, but I love them and visit them anyway.
