Hi I'm Amber

I am the mother of three sons, one daughter, two children I have not met and the wife of one supportive husband. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a wife, a mother of four, a full time employee, a small business owner, a blogger, a designer, a sister, an aunt, a daughter, a friend. I work from home full time for a marketing company out of California, I am the owner of Pineplace, the author of mypineplace.blogspot.com and starting a new adventure with Amy & Amber Design. I enjoy decorating my home, helping others decorate theirs, watching my son quarterback football, reading the novels my daughter writes, creating, camping in a tent, hiking, US history, reading, playing card games with my kids. I believe you get out of life what you put into it and feel you should live your life on purpose. I plan to leave this life exhausted and will sleep when I'm dead (maybe).

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it is one of two religions that claim divinity, direct authority from Christ to act in his name and organize his Church. Of the two, I believe The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints will continue to move forward in the world. It will become more widespread and common throughout all nations. It is the Lord's work and it cannot be stopped. I had a choice to be a part of that or to not be a part of that, and I chose the former. I have felt the promised peace that only the Lord offers and believe the life I have chosen to live, the Church I have chosen to join, affords me that peace.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by teaching the same faith to my children, sharing with them ways to develop a relationship with their Savior. I have a concern for those around me, whether it be those who seem to have no one to speak with at church, a person in public who needs a smile, an elderly person who needs to be visited at their retirement home, a soldier who needs a Christmas wish to remind him/her we are grateful for their service, a child who needs to be loved. God is love and the more we express it, the more like Him we become and the stronger our faith becomes.
