Hi I'm David

I'm a father of nine! I have a beautiful wife of 24 years. I am the president and owner of a successful company. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

The greatest things about myself are my wife and children. I've been married to an amazing woman for almost 24 years. We have nine beautiful children who all are trying to be good, and seem to be growing up with a desire to make the world a better place. On my most dark days, all I have to do is think of this and I feel my life has been a success. I grew up racing motorcycles, flying airplanes, enjoying the beauty of the outdoors, and generally looking for fun, and seeking fulfillment. While always active, I was a ship without a rudder, blowing wherever the wind would take me. Desperately, trying to remain free! I credit my conversion to the Lord Jesus Christ as being responsible for who I am today and for the happiness and blessing I've received. I am known to many as the president and owner of a very large and successful company, with sales and operations in many markets around the world. While I often receive praise and compliments (for which I am grateful and appreciative) from others based on my success in business and on my wonderful family, it is the praise of the Lord that I seek the most. To please and serve him is my greatest desire.

Why I am a Mormon

While I grew up a member of the LDS church I was a bit of a rebel, being unwilling to accept things wholly on face value. I decided to serve a 2 year mission, partly to discover more fully for myself the gospels truth. it was there that I discovered the reality of things I had been taught and believed most of my life. Through obedience and much prayer and diligent seeking, I discovered for myself that God really had restored his gospel to the earth through the young prophet Joseph Smith. I came to understand his laws and why I should keep them, and the divine power they could bring into a person's life. I discovered the truthfulness of the Book of Mormon and many other doctrines of Christ. Most importantly, I discovered that God Lives, that Jesus is the living Christ, and that they actually know who I am and have a purpose for me! This knowledge, coupled with the regular and continual penetrating and guiding feelings from the Holy Ghost, have given my life greater meaning and changed it forever.

How I live my faith

My faith is a very large part of my life. I spend significant time every week involved in various church activities. This can include, teaching, working with youth, counseling others who may be struggling, participating in service projects, and attending the temple. I have had opportunity to serve in many different capacities over the years, which have included everything from working with youth, to serving as a bishop of a congregation and in the presidency of a Stake (a grouping of congregations). The object of all service is to love others, helping them to increase their faith and grow closer to Christ.
