Hi I'm Carol

I'm the stay-at-home mother of 5 children. I love laughing, learning, teaching, and singing. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a Southern California native who found the beauty of living in Utah, Georgia, and now Arizona. I love to talk! Worthwhile conversations are my kind of therapy and meaningful relationships make my life happy. I also love learning and teaching others, whether in a classroom, a cub scout meeting, a church setting, or my own kitchen. I taught 8th grade science years ago and now I get to stay at home to raise my 5 children. It is hard work but seeing them develop kindness and independence motivates me to keep at it. We often sing, read, bake treats, and play games, and occasionally we dance. Love the dancing.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a Latter-day Saint family, but I didn't really believe what my parents had taught me until I was 15 years old. Through several spiritual experiences in my teenage years I felt Jesus Christ's amazing love for me. This allowed the seeds my parents had planted through years of instruction to finally grow. My testimony of Christ's love and incredible sacrifice gave me the motivation to change my life and follow His example. I love the Bible and the Book of Mormon. Each book testifies of Christ. They teach me how to follow the Savior with inspiring stories and profound sermons. I especially love the Book of Mormon because I know it was specifically written for us today. Read the Book of Mormon! When I regularly explore the scriptures the Spirit confirms to me that they are true. I feel incredible peace and joy! Jesus Christ directs this Church today through His living Prophet. He and the other Apostles powerfully testify of Christ and when I listen to their words I often think, "This is so right! Everyone needs to hear this!" Their inspired counsel helps me draw closer to the Lord, be a better wife, mother, and friend, and feel happiness daily. I know that death is not the end. Families can be sealed together forever in Temples though the Holy Priesthood. This power connects me to my children, parents, grandparents, and on and on.

How I live my faith

My faith makes me want to be a better person. I know that I am a daughter of God and that He loves me. Because I know that we are all His beloved children I try to treat people with kindness and respect. My father often taught us to ask, "What would Jesus do?" This question has allowed me not only to help others but to love them. As a Mormon I have many opportunities to serve. I get to share the amazing message of the restored gospel of Jesus Christ with others. Visiting with sisters in their homes offers me chances to teach and encourage them while developing real friendships. I grow tremendously from assignments to teach the gospel to the youth. Singing in choir is always fun, and playing the piano for Primary children makes me to practice, practice, practice. I've found that when I give of myself I get back more than I ever expected. It feels great!
