Hi I'm Kate

I'm a wife, proud auntie, event planner, interior designer and former contributor to a weekly TV program, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the oldest of 3 girls and was raised by wonderful loving parents. I got married at age 26 and I love being a wife to my wonderful husband and best friend! I also enjoy my career in interior design and event planning. It is an incredible process to create something from nothing and be ale to put my creativity to good use! I studied journalism in college and went on to contribute to a weekly TV program all about weddings. I enjoyed working on the show for four fun filled years. I adore being with my sweet nephews as I do not yet have children of my own. So far my sisters both have all boys and they are great mothers. I look forward each year to visiting them and my parents as we are all scattered among various states. I exercise because it is the right thing to do. Not because I necessarily love it! Each fall I host a party to celebrate all things pumpkin! I love fall and I love pumpkin based foods. It is truly a memorable and fabulous event to share with my dear friends.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in this church and decided during my teen years that I wanted to know for myself if this was the right path for me. I received my answer and continue to be a mormon by choice because I know it to be true. I know this because I have read the book of mormon and prayed about it. My heart has been filled with special feelings confirming and reconfirming to me over the years the truth of this restored gospel. As I have chosen to live my life according to the teachings of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints my life has been blessed again and again. I am profoundly grateful for the knowledge I have about eternal families and to know that my husband and I are together for not just this life but in the next. I love to go to temple and learn more about these eternal teachings on a regular basis. The gospel has brought me true happiness and peace.

How I live my faith

Over the years I have served in different capacities within the mormon church. Wether it has been teaching early morning religion classes to our youth, lessons on sunday to our young women or attending weekly activities with them. It has been a privilege to work with our youth! I have also assisted in planning activities for our church group. I visit 2 sisters in there home each month and bring them a spiritual message along with a willingness to help with whatever may be going in in there own lives. I also enjoy having two women come to my home each month to share a spiritual message and friendship with me. I actively ready the book of mormon and bible each day as well as have daily prayer. My husband and I share a couples prayer each night and reserve Monday nights to spend together as a family. I have found great joy in doing these things as I know that I am ultimately serving our Heavenly Father. It is my desire to have a home filed with love and centered on Christ's teachings.
