Hi I'm Jennie

I love people watching. I laugh at everything. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have five younger brothers. They are hilarious and loud and obnoxious and I love them. I was born in Utah and spent a fair amount of my childhood in Ohio. I love both the east and the west. I love the beautiful mountains of Utah and the amazing green-ness of Ohio. I just recently graduated from college in Sociology. I still don't know what I want to do with my life, but I'm figuring it out! I just want to help people, especially struggling teenagers. Oh, and I geek out about a lot of ridiculous things... I love Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings. I collect Pez dispensers. I wear a flannel shirt every Friday. I love watching football more than anything else. And I quote movie lines like nobody's business. I could have full conversations in all movie quotes.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints because I know that this is the complete truth revealed by God. I was born into this church, but that absolutely does not mean that I am following it blindly. I have always been fiercely independent and refuse to take others words for it; I had to find everything out for myself. And after reading the Book of Mormon, listening to the words of the Prophets, and praying about it, I know for myself that this church has the truth and that God truly speaks through the words of the living prophets. With this knowledge, I have continued to be a Mormon throughout my life because it honest to goodness is the truth!

How I live my faith

This church is one of action. We don't just passively sit by and let others do things for us. I am actively involved in the church and my faith is actively involved in my life. My faith defines who I am. My current calling in the church is that of a visiting teaching supervisor: this means that I encourage all the women in my ward to have monthly visits and care for each other and show their love and compassion for one another. This gives me the opportunity to meet and get to know so many wonderful women. I also get to share with them my love for them and through me, God's love for them. My faith pushes me forward and helps me through all situations in my life.
