Hi I'm Krista Lee

I'm a Mormon. I am happy to be a wife, Mother, voice teacher, singer and walker.

About Me

It was really important to me to get a college education. I had set a goal when I was twelve to get a 4 year degree in music. I had also always wanted to be a wife and a stay at home Mom too. So in college when I met and fell in love with my husband, we talked a lot about our future together. We came up with a plan for me to teach voice students in our home. That is what I have been doing for the last 25 years while raising our children. It has been great! I was still able to be a Mom and be involved with our children's lives. I was also able to cook a nice dinner for our family each night. This dinner time with our family was key to our family relationships

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the church. I had wonderful parents. I felt really good about the teachings of the church. When my brother was killed in a car accident my eighth grade year, I wanted to know if The Book of Mormon really was a true book of scripture. I suspected it was as I had always felt really good at church and from what my parents told me about The Book of Mormon. I had learned from church that I must read the Book of Mormon and then pray and ask God if it was true. So after my brother was killed I read the book and prayed. I received a witness that The Book of Mormon was true. I felt it in my heart. I have read it many times over and love it. It comforts me, especially about death.

How I live my faith

I try to be a good example of a believer of the Lord Jesus Christ. I try to serve others by doing favors for friends or helping them when they are in need. Recently one of my dear friends had incurable cancer. I loved going to get her medicine for her , taking her to her doctors appointments, or just visiting with her. Her faith was so strong it helped my faith grow. She taught me that fear is the opposite of faith. When she passed away, I was able to sing at her funeral and give a little speech about our friendship. I will always remember her and her good example to me, even though I started out trying to be a good example to her.
