Hi I'm Christopher

I grew up on Vancouver Island. I am currently attending university to become an Archaeologist. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Well I am currently attending university to become an Archaeologist. When I'm not at school I like spending time with my friends mostly but when they are all busy I go to my old fall back, video games. I love to play any king of game actually. I own many card games and board games that many people have not heard of before and I would call it my hobby to find more and share these fun games with others. I also like to snowboard and I also am picking up building models again cause me and my father used to do that when I was little.

Why I am a Mormon

Well I was born in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints but I can't really say I was converted until only a few years ago. The friends around me at the time all said that they knew the Book of Mormon was a true book and that the church was true and while I had followed the church and read the Book of Mormon I couldn't say for certain if it was true of not. This was something that drove me to find out if it was true one way or another. So what I did was truly study the Book of Mormon and I also asked through prayer if it was true. Others might say that they got their answer to that question right away but I did not receive and sort of answer while I was praying or when I was finished. This discouraged me but I did not stop because know that God hears my prayers and answers them. My answer came in an unexpected place, in the middle of a blizzard in Colorado. A friend said in passing, "Maybe you already know it's true." That is all that he said and I don't think he thought much of it but while I stood there in the blizzard I felt the Spirit of the Lord so strongly in my heart that I knew that what my friend had said was true, I did already know it was true. Through this confirmation from God I can say that I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

How I live my faith

Right now I live what I believe by sharing with other what I have learned, kind of like what I am doing with this profile. I am also a member of my local church choir because I believe that music can bring joy to peoples heart when we ourselves might fail to do so. The biggest thing I think that I do to live my faith is that I try to stand as an example of what I know God wants me to. For instance if I see someone in need of some assistance I will go and help them. I'm not a perfect person so I know that I have not done this every time but I know that God is helping me accomplish this goal the more I try.
