Hi I'm Ralph

I grew up in Texas, where I live with my wife and son. I work as a chemical engineer. I love to bike. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in a family with 8 kids. Often my mother would tell us kids to go outside and play. We loved playing in the neighborhood, as well as exploring the nearby "creek". Probably as a result of this, I love sports (especially football, basketball, and volleyball) as well as the outdoors (biking, hiking, and camping). Growing up, I also excelled at math and science, so I decided to try to become a chemical engineer - just in case my dream of playing in the NFL didn't work out. To this day, I still love math and science, and am still employed as a chemical engineer. I loved it so much that I decided to get a PhD in chemical engineering. I served two years as a missionary - which I loved. After graduating, I moved to Oklahoma. There I met my wife. After two years, we welcomed a baby boy to the family. We currently live in Texas.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I believe that God speaks to His chldren today through a living prophet. I also believe that God speaks to His children individually through His spirit to help them in their everyday lives as they pray to him and strive to live His will. I am a Mormon because I believe God has given all His children the freedom to choose how they will live and what they will do. Using this freedom, I find happiness and joy in the way I live my life - striving to live honestly, helping those in need, worshipping God, learning more about Him and the world around me, and trying to be a good husband and father. I am also a Mormon because I believe that Christ suffered to make up for my short comings which enables me to return to live with our Father in Heaven.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by: - making my family (my wife and son) my highest priority in life, - studying the scriptures, - being honest in all my associations, both at work and in the community, - trying to be a good neighbor, - helping the poor and needy, - being active in our church
