Hi I'm Larry

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm Larry. I have a wonderful wife of 43 years, 5 children ( 4 daughters and 1 son ), and 17 grandchildren. I am a retired Carpenter Contractor after 38 years and our son now runs the business. I love life and try to live it to its fullness each day, as I feel every day is a blessing from our Heavenly Father. I enjoy traveling with my wife, riding one of my 3 horses ( moving cattle is our favorite ), hunting elk and deer with my children and grandchildren, and working in the Church with the youth. I am a convert to the Church and am eternally grateful the Ward Missionaries came to our door many years ago.

Why I am a Mormon

When the missionaries came to our home to teach me the 1st discussion, they ask me to say the closing prayer. It was then that the Spirit told me that their message was true. I wanted something solid for my family, and what they introduced that first night was desirable. My wife was teaching primary at the time and wanted this as well. I set a baptism date and we began working towards the eternal goal of a foreever family. The journey has not always been smooth, as Satan has many ways to disrupt everyone trying to follow the commandments. This Gospel has helped me to be a better man. I have an eternal vision that myself , my wife and all my children and grandchildren share. I can gain daily inspiration from conversing with my Heavenly Father, reading both the Scriptures and the Church publications, and the instruction we receive fron General and local leaders. Every week, we have the priveledge to renew our baptismal covenants through partaking the Sacrament, knowing that Jesus Christ made repentance possible because of the sacrifice of His life.

How I live my faith

My wife and I try to read the Scriptures and pray together each evening. I enjoy listening to her ask Heavenly Father to wath over me and our family. I know He hears my prayers for her and our family. I have worked with the youth most of the years I have been a member. They are the future of our Country as well as the future of our Church. It swells my heart to hear one of these young men or young women bear testimony of how they KNOW that there is a God, HE loves them, and that Jesus Christ died for their sins , making possible for their return home to Heavenly Father.I enjoy the service oppurtunities in the Church to help other people through visiting other families in the Ward, disaster relief, comunity work projects, or the use of my Prieshood by going to the sick, afflicted, or poor and needy. I know that God reveals to our Living Prophet, Thomas S. Monson, the guidance we need in these latter days to return, as a family, to live with Him. The Temple is the Lord's House here on earth that provides the most peace a person can feel and the place where we can do the work necessary for our family members that have passed to receive the same blessings that we living have attained by living the Gospel.
