Hi I'm Zach

I grew up in Oregon. I am currently a full time student, small business owner and your neighbor. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am an ordinary guy living in this big world, just like everyone else. I am a full time student, studying Business Administration. I work part time in a law office, assisting attorneys on a daily basis. I am also a small business owner, with aspirations of growing my landscaping business using the skills that I have learned and will continue to learn from school, and work. My dreams do not fall short from many other people living in this world... I want to be successful in life, have a comfortable job (preferably working for myself), get married and have children. I am always trying to be active in my community and give back when I can. I am the guy that people call when they need help. It is not rare for me to receive calls asking for help, ranging from giving rides, to helping someone who is stranded on the side of the road. I try to uphold the laws of the land and be a responsible citizen. My hobbies include: working on cars, shooting guns, playing video games, couponing, photography and video editing. I also enjoy hanging out with friends and always willing to try new things. I love to explore and learn!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a very loving family, and was raised in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I was taught by my parents, that I should follow the commandments of God and lead a righteous life. They taught me these things, but always respected my choices. I was never forced to become a member of the church, but I chose to be a member. Why did I make this choice? The choice to be Mormon? All my life I have been faced with challenges, including the passing of my father when I was 5 years old. My mother was left with 4 boys to raise by herself, and the struggle was difficult and still is today. But I know that through the Gospel of Jesus Christ we continue moving forward strong. Almost 20 years has passed since that day, and we wouldn't have been able to make it through without the knowledge that members of the church have. Death is a very scary subject for many people, because they do not know the plan that our Heavenly Father has for us! It was difficult to live without a father, but I knew since I was 5 where he was. I knew that he was with my father in heaven and that he would be there looking down on me from Heaven. For a 5 year old to understand that would be mind blowing for most people. But I understand that the church is true and that by and through the Gospel of Jesus Christ we can have that comfort in our life... knowing that God is there for us and he has a plan for all of us. We just have to come closer to him, follow his commandments and we can lead a happy, healthy life... even in times of sorrow, pain or anger. This is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

Lets be honest, no one is perfect. But I like to think that I am working towards perfection daily. I can fall (and believe me I have before, and I will in the future), it is all about the human progression. It is all about learning and growing until we can become life our Heavenly Father. I try to live everyday the way that God would want me to live. I try to love everyone, including my friends, family and enemies. I am not ashamed of being Mormon, I share it with everyone I know. I love Jesus and I know that I have a purpose here on earth. Life is a garden, dig it! =)
