Hi I'm Alec

I'm a computer geek, a musician, a soccer player, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm Alec, and I've found many hobbies over the years. I've played soccer since I was 4, been into music since I was 8, and been into computers since I was 10. I've played many instruments: violin, cello, bass, piano, guitar, bass guitar, sung in choir, and tried many other instruments. My like for computers ended up turning me into the family computer technician and now, in college, though many miles from home, I still continue in that capacity. Though I originally was going to major in physics in college, I've now returned to my hobby with computers and plan to major in computer science. I just can't seem to rid myself of my nerd side. But, thanks to my continued interest in music and soccer, I'm not a complete one. Playing guitar and playing soccer kind of help with that.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born in the church, and grew up the in the church. I still follow the gospel because I found the comfort it brings and because I came to know it's truth. Whenever I've been down in the dumps about something, anything, keeping my faith in Christ and his gospel pulls me through, by allowing me to know that when I do pray for comfort, that someone really is listening and genuinely cares about me, and wants to see me succeed and overcome any and all trials that may come my way. Though the road may have it's rough spots, overall it is a nice straight and smooth trip that gives many reasons to find joy and contentment in life.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by consistently attending church and willingly sharing the gospel with anyone willing to hear it's message. I read the scriptures and pray about what I learn to continue the growth of my testimony. I plan to serve a mission when I turn 19, and I know that everything I have done and am doing and will do will help me prepare for it.
