Hi I'm Robert Wellman

I served a mission and I am Vietnam Veteran. I have 7 daughters and 26 grandchildren. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I graduated from high school in June 1966. I left for the mission field in September 1966 and returned in September 1968. I attended college for year and started working for my Dad in the transmission business in June 1969. I was married to my wife in the Mesa Temple in July 1969. Our first daughter was born in July 1970. I reported to basic training on August twelth 1970. I left for Viet Nam in January 1971 and left Viet Nam on October 1st 1971 after being wounded. October 1st was also the same day that our second daughter was born. After I was discharged from the Army I went back to work in the transmission business. We sold the business in june 2001. I feel like my life has been very blessed because I ave been a member of the church. My knowledge of the gospel really helped me to make it through the obligations I had to do while serving in Viet Nam.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the church. My Mother was raised in the church and my Father is not a member. I have always believed the church is true. I applied the test to the Book of Mormon (Moroni 10:4-5) while I was on my mission and the spirit bore witness to me that the book is indeed true. This why I have always remained active in the church and why I raised all of my daughters in the church. My wife and I had a daughter pass away 14 years ago, she was only twenty two. It is because of my testimony that I know I will get to see her again and that her spirit still lives in the spirit world. I am very grateful for this knowlege.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by serving in the church and supporting my family in any way that I can.
