Hi I'm Jesse

I'm a Junior at Brigham Young University Idaho. I'm a husband, a father, a brother, son, and friend; oh and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm currently attending college at BYU-Idaho with my beautiful wife Jessica. We met up here. We have an 11 month old named Coleman and try to spend as much time with him as possible. He's just now learning to walk. I have a lot of little hobbies and interests. I wonder sometimes if I'm too busy. I love soccer, wrestling, singing, working, dancing, drawing, and the list goes on. I've been involved with all of those activities here on campus and feel it is important to be engaged in positive groups, activities, and events where an individual lives. I'm majoring in English Education although I don't know if that's where I'll end up. I work for a local business part time while I go to school full-time and Jessica does great nurturing Coleman in our little apartment while she finishes up with her last class before graduation. We are busy, but we are happy.

Why I am a Mormon

Although I was raised in this church I have come to several questioning crossroads and always found answers in prayer to guide me in this direction. I've come to know that God is real and plays more than just a major role in our lives. I really appreciate the standards and morals that are taught with this church and feel that it will be a great foundation for our family to build upon. Jesus Christ is of course that rock and foundation.

How I live my faith

I try everyday to read from the Holy Scriptures and to pray to my Heavenly Father. I've found that when I do I am happiest. I try to serve my wife and son and neighbors and friends. I try to learn as much about Jesus Christ as possible everyday. I devote a minimum of 30 minutes to reading and learning about him from the Old Testament, New Testament, The Book of Mormon, and other marvelous literary works. I teach a high school religious course part time called seminary and that helps me stay focused in my studies and learning.
