Hi I'm Jim

I'm a life long member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (Mormon).

About Me

I am a Husband, and a Father of six children, one with "special needs" all of whom are now out on their own. I am retired Facility Manager and currently enjoying RVing, and exploring with our ATV while traveling with my wife seeing much of the nation and visiting our children, friends and their families. I enjoy reading the scriptures, playing the piano and organ, listening to popular and spiritual music, collecting personal Family History, performing repairs of all kinds to anything needing fixed (I seem to be very good at it). My most favorite thing is to be with my sweetheart and my children.

Why I am a Mormon

I learned in my youth that the Kingdom of God has been restored to the earth after Jesus Christ and his Apostles, and many of the Christian faithful were killed, and the power given them by Jesus Christ disappeared. During this time, the world was left without the light of Christ, and his power given to men to administer and preach the gospel vanished from the earth, and the dark ages later followed as men were left to themselves to follow after their understanding of God, which has spawned hundreds and hundreds of different Christian beliefs. I listened for and heeded the Spirit of God guiding me to learn that in modern times, God called a spokesman, a Prophet, the Prophet Joseph Smith, to reveal God's will to me, and all who would listen, and that under God's direction, the Prophet Joseph Smith organized the Kingdom of God upon the earth once more. There is great importance to all of mankind in knowing that God is communicating once again to us that we might understand his will and do it. Never in the history of the earth is there a greater need for God to speak his will to us than right now! I am grateful to know this that I can bend my will to his and be able to be an influence for good for my own welfare, my family, and to all those that I love and care about in my community, nation, and world.

How I live my faith

I attend church weekly with my sweetheart, to partake of the sacrament to renew my baptismal promises to my Father-in-Heaven. I seek a greater portion of the spirit of God, to be strengthened within, that I might live my live during the week as my Father-in-Heaven would have me do. I feel the presence of the spirit many times a day in my life as I go about doing good, whether for myself, my sweetheart, my children, my neighbor, my friend, or all of my brothers and sisters in the world, whether or not they belong to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (Mormon) or not. I feel love for everyone as I try to emulate the love of Jesus Christ, and follow all his teachings that direct my life and my dealings among my fellow men (and women).
