Hi I'm Angie Johnson

I'm a Mormon! I live in Arlington, Texas. I am a mother, a wife, and I enjoy designing with flowers and plants. I love life!

About Me

I have many loves...my family, life, people, learning new things and designing and working with plants and flowers. I have always been an avid learner. When I was a child, my mother sold encyclopedias. The benefit in our home was our own set to read. I spent hours gleaning from those pages. I had the privilege of graduating from college, and although I chose to stay at home and raise my family, my education has blessed my abilities to work with my children and helped me as I continue to dabble in landscape and floral design. As I mentioned, I love people. People fascinate me. They are conquerers, survivors, helpers, givers, there is something powerful about the human spirit especially as they overcome tragedies and heartaches. There is a greater depth to their characters and wisdom that comes from struggle. I love to hear other's life stories, to cry with them, and cheer them on! As I said earlier, I like learning new things. As a family, we demolished an older home, except for the exterior walls and rebuilt it. It took us more than four years. It was a challenge greater than we anticipated, but the learning curve was incredible. That experience changed the course of our families life! We learned just how much we needed each other to be successful, we learned to work, and we realized to achieve something great takes time and a lot of effort. Life has not been an easy journey for me, but it has been fulfilling.

Why I am a Mormon

I think that I have always had a believing heart. I just knew there was a God. As a young girl, I just knew there was a reason for some of the difficulties and struggles I was encountering. From the struggles and challenges in my life, I have learned to turn to God and trust in Him. I have discovered that He answers sincere and honest prayers of the simple, like me. I have learned through experience that by living the commandments that Christ and His Prophets teach, although difficult to do sometimes, they are what bring joy and happiness to my life. The Gospel of Jesus Christ is my foundation. What living the Gospel of Christ ultimately does for me is give me perspective, and bring me joy. I can truly be happy even when things seem to be falling down around me because I know that life has a purpose. I believe I was sent here to earth, to learn, to grow, to develop and most of my greatest growth has come from challenges and hardships.

How I live my faith

There is a song that states," Live what you believe". If I were to identify how I live my faith, I would say, that I really strive to live what I believe. I recognize that I am imperfect as are those around me, for that reason, I try to see where people have come from, what they have overcome and then love them for who they are, and encourage them to do better and be better. I feel better about myself as I build up and encourage those around me. I believe that was part of the message Jesus Christ taught. Jesus sees the good in us, He helps us to see the good in ourselves, and He helps us see the good in others. Living what I believe also means that I have to walk the talk. I believe that helping others, reaching out for the lonely and forlorn, being a true friend especially to those who are different than me, being kind when others are mean are what I have to do if I am a true disciple of Christ. I also believe that if I am a true follower of Christ, I need to be honest. I need to remain faithful to my husband and our children. I need to be grateful and show it. Now, I am not perfect at any of these things, but I am trying, and I think that is what Christ would ask for...honest effort.
