Hi I'm Steven

I play soccer. I like to run. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to play sports. Just name a sport, and I like it. The only 2 sports I really competitively play are soccer and I run cross country. My freshman year, I was running on the varsity cross country team, and I was also on the varsity soccer team. This proved to be a huge challenge (I am on the short side), but with the help of my friends and family, I had a great time. I also enjoy things that most people consider "pointless", such as kendama and slacklining, which help me to find peace in my life.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church, so I don't have any cool conversion story. However, I have experienced every-day trials, which have helped to build my testimony. There is a great group of young-men at my church, and by going to church, seminary, and other activities, we have really bonded and we can help each other out throughout our lives. I have a great family and they set such a good example for me to follow. I also have good friends at school who, even though they aren't members of the church, are great influences in my life. I look forward to all the missionary opportunities I get, and I can't wait to have more. I know for a fact that this church is true, and I love every part about this church. I am continuing to grow my testimony every day of my life.

How I live my faith

I have participated in a great number of service projects. Everything from flood clean-ups to helping with eagle scout projects to helping people move. I love doing service and it has taught me a lot. By playing sports, I often get to explain why I don't "play on Sunday" and I have lots of missionary opportunities from this. I participate in Boy Scouts and I love it. I go to church every Sunday, seminary every weekday that I have school, and every Wednesday or Thursday night I have "youth activities" at my church. Although it can seem overwhelming at times, I am so glad I have the church in my life, and I love all the blessings I get from it.
