Hi I'm Mike Taylor

I grew up in Missouri, school at BYU-Hawaii, and served a mission in Concepcion, Chile. My wife and I have 4 kids. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Southwest Missouri around the Springfield, Branson area. A couple months after graduating high school, I moved with my parents to Anchorage, AK where I only stayed about a month before moving on to BYU-Hawaii for college. I lived there for a year then served an LDS Mission in Concepcion, Chile for two years. I returned to Alaska to work a few months before heading back to Hawaii to finish school. I met my wife there, where we dated as seniors. About three months after graduation, we moved to South Carolina where she and her family are from, to get married in Aug 2003. We now have four children (2 girls and 2 boys).

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the church, but never really had a testimony of the truthfulness until I was in my late teens. I used to attend other churches with friends, but they never had answers to my questions, or their answers just didn't make any sense. Logically this was the only true church that I had come across the really made sense of everything. Eventually I received my own spiritual witness of the truthfulness and decided to go on a mission. Then I really became converted one I started really getting into the doctrine of the church and saw how it can change peoples lives when truly accept Christ.

How I live my faith

I try to live in a way that would set a good example to all those around me. I strongly believe in personal integrity and try to live in a way that shows it. I have devoted a lot of time to studying the doctrines of the gospel and serving in different capacities in the church. I strive to help others to learn and come unto Christ as well so that they may partake of the same blessings that I have been granted. I work very hard to teach my children good principles as well.
