Hi I'm Justin

I'm a Mormon! I grew up in Tulare, CA of all places, who ever heard of that place?! I am now going to collage for... not sure yet.

About Me

I have grown up in a smaller town but do enjoy the rush of the bigger cities every once and a while. As a kid I liked to ride my bike a lot and play soccer. I was vary active. When I got into high school I found that I didn't like the traditional sports that used a ball. I would rather have a board under my feet, like skateboarding, wakeboarding, snowboarding, or surfing, the feeling you get while boarding cannot be matched. Other then that some of my interests include drawing (mostly designs and things like celtic knots, etc), working on cars, gardening, and a few other things. I enjoy learning and so I find many things interesting. I am happily married to a wonderful woman and we have a daughter. Now my life is currently filled with schooling (going to become a Civil Engineer), work family and church.

Why I am a Mormon

Now that I am married and away from the biggest reason as to why I am a member, my parents, the question that seems most fitting is why am I STILL a Mormon? I no longer have my parents around to constantly remind me or to tell me I should go and so I am still a Mormon because it is my choice. I have made the choice to be a Mormon because it is truth. I have found that peace and joy come and much pain and sorrow can be avoided when I see things as they really are or when I know and understand truth. As a Mormon I have been lead to this truth. The truth being a clear and accurate understanding of my Father in Heaven and Jesus Christ, the reason for this life, and how I fit into the grand scheme of things. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has and continues to bring these truths and more into my life.

How I live my faith

I live my faith through living a good life. I am not perfect but I do not let that stop me from trying. I attend church and find strength there. As the week wears on it can be easy loose focus, attending church is an opportunity to put my life into perspective and refocus on what is most important, Heavenly Father, Christ, and family. Throughout the week I study and pray daily and try to be open to helping others who may need help.
