Hi I'm Amy

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a wife and mother of five beautiful children. I spend a large part of my day in the car. I love to be outside: jogging, camping, boating, gardening, landscaping projects, just enjoying this wonderful world. I love yoga. I check out too many books at the library and wish I had time to read them all. I mostly love being with my family and friends--relationships are very important to me.

Why I am a Mormon

I was fortunate enough to be raised in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and gained a testimony of my own through many different experiences I had. I had asthma when I was a child and I think that helped me learn to depend on God at an early age. I knew He loved me and would help me through anything. As I have grown, my testimony has enlarged to cover many more aspects of the restored gospel. At this stage of my life, I have an incredible appreciation for the Atonement. There is so much to do and so many choices to make, it is easy to feel overwhelmed. I try my best to keep the commandments and follow the example of Jesus Christ but I notice that every day I fall short. Ultimately it is only through my Savior, Jesus Christ that I am saved, that I will be able to live with my Heavenly Father someday. Because of His grace and mercy, my efforts matter and that keeps me going every day. I have hope in Jesus Christ, in the plan that God has provided for us and that helps me to feel true happiness.

How I live my faith

I don't feel like I excel at anything, but I do lots of little things to live my faith. I have found that one important thing I can do is to be a true friend. Visiting other women in the church and thinking of ways I can help them brings me a lot of joy. I also help out at my children's school, donate blood, participate in food drives and anything else I feel Jesus Christ would do. I believe it's the little things that make a big difference in people's lives. I try to always be willing to do whatever God wants me to do.
