Hi I'm Morgan

I love life, children, nature, family time, and being happy. I'm a Mormon and I love it!

About Me

I am serving as a full-time missionary in upstate New York! I love being with children due to their innocent, fun, loving spirits. They light up my life! I enjoy playing photographer, creating stained glass mosaics, and playing the piano. My family is important to me and I love to be with them. They truly are my best friends on earth.

Why I am a Mormon

My family has been "Mormon" for generations. I grew up going to church each week by default. However, as I have taken studying and learning the gospel into my own hands, I have developed a strong conviction that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is true. As I read the Book of Mormon I feel a peace that has been my witness that the Gospel of Jesus Christ has been restored to the earth. Our Heavenly Father and His son, Jesus Christ, want us to join them in the eternities and we must live the doctrines and principles of the gospel in order to do so. While being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints may seem a daunting and restricting thing, I know that it contains truths that aren't found in other religions. It provides us explanations about our life before this earth, our mortal existence, and our life after this life on earth. It gives me hope for a brighter future and reason to be the best I can be. The more I learn about the Gospel, our Heavenly Father, and our Savior Jesus Christ, the stronger my faith becomes. No matter what I am going through, I know that my Heavenly Father is there for me and loves me with a perfect love. He loves each and every person on this earth for we are all truly sons and daughter of a Heavenly King, our Heavenly Father. I'm a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints because I have come to know for myself it is true. What a blessing it is in my life!

How I live my faith

As a full-time missionary, I have the opportunity every day to share what I know to be true with the people around me. It doesn't matter how many doors are closed in my face, how many animals I have to compete with for people to hear me, or how many people I am able to teach in a day, I know that God is our Heavenly Father and He loves each of us. I want to share that truth with everyone I meet. Everyday I live my faith by waking up at 6:30 am, studying, and preparing to teach the things I know to be true to those I see. For 18 months, my time is the Lord's time. I strive to do the things He wants me to do, say the things He wants me to say, and teach the doctrine He would have me teach to the people I come in contact with. I love the Lord and live my faith in Him by making the choices He would have me make. Sure, I'm not perfect and make plenty of mistakes, but that's what repentance is for - and man am I grateful for it! I guess you could say another way I live my faith is by repenting and striving to do what's right.

Why do Mormon missionaries proselyte?

Morgan
There are proselyting, full-time missionaries because we know that the gospel of Jesus Christ in on the earth in full. As a missionary, I know that what we teach is valuable and priceless. It is the message that our Savior Himself wants us to teach. It brings us so much happiness and we want everyone to feel the joy we have by living the gospel of Jesus Christ. It is the way to have true joy. Jesus Christ has always called people to share the gospel with those around the world who don't have it - missionaries today are fulfilling that calling as they proselyte around the world.
