Hi I'm Leah

I am a stay at home mom of two who loves to read, sew and be creative and I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I am a mother of two young girls who keep me very busy. I love my family, my church, love to read, take pictures (I still have a lot to learn), sew and throw fun birthday parties! I only did a few years of college, where I met my husband. Unfortunately for me, I haven't been able to get back to school to get a degree. My family has kept me pretty busy, and Im happy where I am at in life right now. I enjoy being with my friends, traveling, and being creative!

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the LDS Church. I have a very strong LDS heritage, and my family has always been proud of it. These things helped me to gain a testimony as I was growing up; but it wasn't until college, when I was living on my own that I found out for myself this really IS Heavenly Father's church. I finally didn't need people to tell me, but just by following His commandments and reading scriptures regularly and praying about them really made me feel that I am doing the right thing. I am truly happy because I am a Mormon. I know that anyone who reads the Book of Mormon and prays about whether it is true, with an honest and open heart, will also know that it is where we should be and we are doing His will. I am blessed for being a Mormon. I could never have a change of heart.

How I live my faith

I serve in the church willingly with the young children, ages 18 months to 11 years old. Its my job to make sure the kids are feeling the spirit in thier classes, being taught the doctrine of the church. I love my calling in the church. I also live my faith by praying daily, going to church regularly, teaching my children about the gospel of Jesus Christ, keeping love and peace in my home, and obeying the commandments of God. I strive to do these things often, even though at times its hard to do everything. I also keep the word of wisdom by keeping my body free of cigarettes, alcohol, and other harmful substances.
