Hi I'm Jon.

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am an educational game instructional designer and researcher. I have a Phd in instructional technology and enjoy learning about learning. I enjoy watching sports and playing when I can. I love playing games with my family and hearing my kids laugh. I live in the midwest and like the change of scenery. I have a wonderful wife and always look forward to spending time with her.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a mormon family. I went to church when I was young because that was what we did. However, when I was a teenager, I started to pay attention to how I felt when I was at church. I started to pay attention to how a felt when I made decisions or thought of thins that may not align with the things that I was taught. I realized, I liked feeling good. I liked making good choices and being a good person. I have always tried to do what is right and follow the commandments of God. I am not perfect and have failed from time to time but I know that my Savior is willing to forgive and love me everyday of my life. I am a Mormon because of the teachings and lessons I have learned that bring me closer to my Savior everyday. I am Mormon because I know the Book of Mormon is true and was written by prophets. I am Mormon because I know the gospel of Jesus Christ is taught in its entirety within this church. I am Mormon because I know that through living His gospel, bad men can be made good and good men can be made better.

How I live my faith

I participate in and live my faith by going to church. By no means am I perfect, however I feel that as long as I try I can keep moving forward. Currently I work with the 10 year scouts as a Weblos leader. I try to help them learn thing about scouts as well as being a good person. I try to be a good example to those that are around me. I have a lot of respect for those who live what they have learned. I try to do that and hope that my example will help others see how the gospel and the Savior have made me a better person.
