Hi I'm Angela

I am the aunt of 12 nieces and nephews. I love to learn! I hold a PhD in Ed Technology and Instructional Design. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a single woman in my 40's working as an Instructional Designer and Learning Design Researcher. I recently started a small consulting business in instructional design and employee communication. My many years of work experience and my love of networking have helped me have the confidence to try running my own business. I can do so because I continue to have the opportunity to learn and collaborate with many intelligent and creative people as I have worked over the years in various positions related to technical writing and technology integration. I love to read and learn. I enjoy learning about technology and understanding how to use it to help people learn and communicate. I enjoy dating and meeting new people and am grateful for the many adventures I have experienced as a single, adult woman. I have traveled to Europe, Israel and Hawaii and seen many beautiful places and met wonderful people. I come from a large family and am surrounded by wonderful brothers and sisters and their very fun and energetic children. I learn so much from children and love their genuine, cheerful enthusiasm for life.

Why I am a Mormon

I come from a rich heritage of faithful convert men and women who listened to the missionaries, felt the Holy Ghost and chose to join the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I am the beneficiary of their sacrifice and faith. I have a testimony that this is the Church of Jesus Christ and that He is the Savior of the world. I know that He directs His church through a living prophet. I know that Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ appeared to the prophet Joseph Smith when he was 14 years old in answer to his question about which church to join. I have been raised by amazing parents who believe in me and support me. They taught me about the gospel and when I was 14, I asked in prayer if the church is true and Heavenly Father answered me through peace in my heart and a desire to learn more and try out for myself what my parents had taught me. Over the years, He has continually answered my questions and as an adult woman I choose to live my faith and it brings me so much happiness. I know that I am a daughter of Heavenly Father and that He knows each of us personally and is aware of our struggles and triumphs and the desires of our heart. I know that there is a plan and a mission for me to fulfill in this life. I know that I have the agency to make choices and seek out good friends, spend time with my family and contribute well in my community. I have faith that as I pray and follow the feelings of my mind and my heart, that I will be led by the light of Jesus Christ and that He has promised that all things will work together for my good.

How I live my faith

I attend church every Sunday and am grateful for many wonderful opportunities to serve in many teaching and leadership capacities within my various wards. I currently serve with the youth and learn so much from them. I love the visiting teaching program and have made many wonderful friends my participating in this wonderful program. My ward family serves as my support system while I am living far away from my parents, brothers and sisters. I feel loved, included and needed and love to worship with the wonderful people in my ward.

What are some of the ways that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints helps those around the world?

I have had the opportunity to participate in Humanitarian Aid efforts in my local community as well as on projects that have helped Heavenly Father's children across the world. I know that this aid goes directly those those in need and that all funds and supplies donated are always used in strict adherence to the goals and purposes of these programs. I know that self-reliance brings confidence and peace to individuals and families. I love being a part of an organization that helps people help themselves and others. Show more Show less
