Hi I'm Jenn

I'm a wife and a mother of 3 fantnastic kids! I teach piano and love repurposing things I find at the thrift store. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I get to stay at home with my children. I have one very busy special needs child and two other crazy kiddos, all of whom I love with all my heart. My husband and I have been married for just about 10 years and recently we moved to Montana after he graduated from Dental School. We are busy with music lessons, horse riding lessons, sports, spending time together and participating in church activities. I teach piano lessons and currently have 5 students, 7 if I include my two boys. I love to sing and be involved with helping others develop their musical talents. My very favorite thing to do in my spare time is to go to the thrift store and find unique things to repurpose and then give to friends and family for birthday gifts or Christmas gifts.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a mormon home and to be honest, relied much on my parents knowledge of the gospel a a child. As I grew up though, I of course developed my own opinions and beliefs and found the gospel to be true. I love being a part of the restored gospel and knowing that I will be with my husband and children forever if I keep the commandments and promises I made in our holy and sacred temples. I am doing what I can to teach my children the same and helping them understand how to pray to our Heavenly Father so that one day when they begin to develop their own testimony they will be able to pray for that confirmation they will need to continue on in the gospel with their own faith.

How I live my faith

I have a job or a "calling" is what it's called with in the church. My calling is in the Young Women organization. I work with the girls in my ward ages 12 to 18. Each week we meet for about 90 minutes and have an activity promoting personal growth, or we participate in a service project for someone in our community. These weekday activity nights are something I look forward to and enjoy that time with other Young Women leaders and the girls we interact with. The other leaders and I also take a turn every 3 weeks teaching these young women a lesson out of the church wide manual written specificaly for these ladies and the experiences they are having in their lives right now. I also try to plan an evening once a week to spend together as a family. We call it Family Home Evening. We don't do anything super formal, we have 3 little kids so we keep it short and sweet. Usually we'll read a story from the Friend magazine (a magazine for young children put out by our church), we'll talk about a gospel prinicipal such as being honest or kind to others. Then we have a treat together. My husband and I encourage our family to pray often. We pray before meals, we pray in the morning before we all leave the house and we pray together in the evening before we go to bed. We also encourage our children to say a personal prayer before they go to bed. I am just a regular wife and mother, trying to do what's best for my family. I have friends I like to visit with and go out on girls nights with. We love to talk about our kids and how things are going in our homes. I know the gospel helps me to be a better mother, wife, friend, daughter, and a better person.
