Hi I'm Amanda

I grew up in Kentucky and still live here. I love being a new mommy, baking, being outside, and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a new Mommy and right now I am blessed to stay at home with my beautiful baby boy. Before becoming a Mommy I was a regular/special education preschool teacher for 3 1/2 years. I love working with children, singing, playing and learning with them. I love learning about other cultures. In my undergraduate studies I spent one semester abroad in Denmark and instantly fell in love with that culture. I dream of returning again someday! Living in Kentucky I am constantly surrounded by beautiful scenery. During my free time I love spending time outdoors with my family.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in another Christian faith, as a child I always had lots of questions and could never find the answers, I always felt like something was missing. When I moved out on my own I began a search for a church that would fill these gaps in my life. One day I started chatting with missionaries on Mormon.org and I began to find answers. After many times chatting I decided to meet with the missionaries and after several months I felt an overwhelming peace and happiness. It has been 3 years since my baptism, and I have a strong testimony that this church is true, that Jesus Christ atoned for my sins and that I can be with my family forever.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to be a positive example to others around me, and to show them love. I want my son to learn to love and serve others, I decided to teach this by volunteering in my community with him by my side. I know that every person is a child of God and I want to learn to love others they way that Christ loves me.

Do Mormons regard the Bible as Holy Scripture and the word of God?

Mormons do believe that the Bible is the Word of God, we believe that the Bible testifies and teaches of Christ. We also believe that the Book of Mormon is the Word of God, and supports the teachings of Christ in the Bible. Show more Show less
