Hi I'm Brian

I'm a Mormon and I believe in Jesus Christ.

About Me

I was born and raised in Utah and currently live in Arizona. I have also lived in Nebraska, Florida and Japan. My wife and I have 4 children. I am a radiologist and served for 3 years in the United States Air Force before moing to Arizona. I love the outdoors, and especially enjoy being in the mountains.  My hobbies include hunting, fishing, basketball and running.

Why I am a Mormon

My ancestors were some of the first people to join The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. They came to know Jesus Christ through the teachings of The Holy Bible and The Book of Mormon. I am a Mormon because I know that God lives, that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, and that God and Jesus have once again called prophets on the earth. As a youth I studied both The Holy Bible and The Book of Mormon. I have read both. I know that both of these books contain the words of God. My mother and father taught me to pray to God when I was old enough to speak. Through many personal experience I have come to know that God does hear and answer our sincere prayers. There came a time in my life where I wanted to know if God and Jesus Christ really did appear to a young boy named Joseph Smith, and if The Book of Mormon really was inspired of God. As I read and prayed, God ansered my prayer and I knew that God and Jesus really did appear to Joseph Smith and that The Book of Mormon contains God's words given through prophets long ago. The Book of Mormon clearly teaches that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and the Savior of the world, and testifies that the teachings in The Bible are true. These scriptures inspire us to seek to become more like Jesus in our hearts, to have charity one for another, and to serve others. God the Father and Jesus Christ spoke anciently to prophets on earth. In these latter days they have once again called prophets to speak to us and guide us in our lives. It began when they appeared to the boy Joseph Smith and called him as a prophet. They have continued since that day to speak to prophets on the earth.

How I live my faith

As a young man I knew that God truly was my Heavenly Father, that He was the father of my spirit. That knowledge has given me the desire to pray to Him, to seek His guidance, and to live according to the teachings of Jesus Christ. I love to read from the scriptures. It brings a spirit of peace to my soul and gives me strength. Through the scriptures I have come to know my Savior, Jesus Christ. It is only through His grace that I can hope to one day return back home to the presence of my Heavenly Father. I know that following the teachings of Jesus Christ will bring us an inner peace and strength that will help us through our earthly trials and struggles. I pay tithing and give offerings to help those in need. I obey God's ten commandments and strive to make the sabbath day a holy day of worship and spiritual activities. I devote time to my family. As a young man I had the privilege to preach of Jesus Christ as a missionary to the wonderful, loving people of Japan. Since that time I have been involved in my local church organizations and have worked with children, youth and adults.
