Hi I'm Jeff

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I moved to Arizona over 8 years ago. I have had a couple of career iterations with companies big and small. Currently I am a financial advisor. I have a beautiful wife and three beautiful children. I'm a Mormon.

Why I am a Mormon

I was privileged to be born in the church; that is, to parents who joined the church before I was born (both of my parents are converts). There is no question that having been raised a Mormon greatly influenced me while growing up, including my choice of religion as an adult. But even those of us born in the church sooner or later come face to face with what we really believe. Like many others, I have asked myself, "do I really believe this church and its teachings, or am I a Mormon simply because my parents decided I would be?" I find the teachings of the church give real purpose to life, and answer some of life's most pressing questions, such as "Why are we here?" "Where did we come from?" and "What's the point of all of this, anyway?" I am also persuaded by the litmus test Jesus Christ suggested when he said, "by their fruits ye shall know them." We Mormons have plenty of faults and weaknesses; and yet, I am satisfied that among the Mormons I have found some of the most sincere, dedicated, well-meaning people I could ever hope to find. Among the Mormons I find people who struggle with the same life issues I do, yet have genuinely found the gospel to be a source of strength and guidance, and provide examples that I constantly strive to emulate.

How I live my faith

You should probably ask my wife that question! Ours is a demanding faith, with plenty of rules and prohibitions, as well as numerous worthwhile activities with which to fill our days-and nights - and weekends. So, when asked to describe how I live my faith, my first thoughts are on all the ways I don't! But, I do what I can, knowing I can always do better. I love spending time with my family. In addition, I am active politically in support of causes and candidates that further the cause of freedom and the Constitution, which I find to be wholly consistent with the gospel. I try to act with integrity in all I do - at the end of the day, being able to approach my Heavenly Father with a clean conscience is a top priority in my life.
