Hi I'm Amy

I grew up in Arizona. I love being an aunt, wife, sister, daughter and friend. I love life. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I currently live in Arizona with my husband, and am working full time while he finishes his bachelor's degree. I love playing sports and spending time with my family. I have seven brothers and sisters, and have the privilege of being an aunt to 15 adorable nieces and nephews. My husband also comes from a large family, so there is rarely a dull moment! Our life is full of too many blessings to count, and I am so grateful for it!

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up with a mom and a dad and seven older brothers and sisters. I played outside with my friends, laughed a lot and probably got into a little trouble every now and then. When I was eight years old my mother who had been battling breast cancer for several years passed away. I was only eight years old at the time but it was a turning point in my life. I realized that I had to know where my mom had gone, what she was doing, and if I would ever see her again. I had grown up in the Mormon church and had been taught the answers to all those questions growing up, but I had to find out for myself if they were true. As the years went by I studied and prayed to know that families are eternal and that I would see my mom again. I came to the understanding that I would see my mom again and that she was waiting for me and watching out for me. All I needed to do was live a righteous life so that I could return to live with my Father in Heaven, my Savior Jesus Christ and my mom. After I gained my testimony of the Plan of Salvation I was determined to do what was right and to live the teachings of Jesus Christ taught to me by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I knew back then, and I know now that this is the only true church on the earth today and that following this plan is the only way I can see my mom again. I know that Jesus Christ is my Savior and Redeemer and that if I make a mistake I can repent and be forgiven because of the atoning sacrifice He made for me. I know my Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ love me and know me personally and I can't wait to live with them again in the next life with my whole family.

How I live my faith

I live my faith each day as I read my scriptures, say my prayers, serve others and strive to be like Christ. I am currently serving as a ward missionary in my ward and I love learning the basic principles of the gospel of Jesus Christ, and working with the full-time missionaries to share it with others. The best way I have learned to live my faith is to always be a good example to those around me and to love everyone no matter their circumstances.
