Hi I'm Lori

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a 27-year-old wife of one and mother of two. I have a bachelor's degree from Brigham Young University where I studied Family Life. I met my husband at BYU in Geography 101 my freshman year. It took us 3 yrs, but we finally got married:) We have been married for 6 yrs now. During our first 6 yrs of marriage we have lived in 4 different states and have acquired 3 college degrees between the two of us; my bachelor's, his Masters of Accountancy and his MBA. (I will be back for my Master's degree as soon as we have all of our loans paid off!;) We have really enjoyed living in a variety of places and meeting so many interesting people. I am currently a stay-at-home mom who always seems to have her hands in a million different things. I have really enjoyed learning photography and graphic design over the past few years since quitting my "real job." I have been fortunate enough to be able to do a little bit of work in those areas from home. I also enjoy tennis, being outdoors, reading non-fiction books, eating foreign foods, thrifting, playing the piano, blogging and watching my favorite TV shows in my spare time. I love being a wife and a mother. 6 yrs ago I never could have imagined the joy my husband and children would bring to my life. I love spending time with them and making our house a home for all of us to enjoy. There are definitely hard days, but they are so worth the joy family brings!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I love Jesus Christ and I want to follow him the best that I can. I feel the principals taught by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (aka Mormons) adhere most consistently with the things that Jesus taught and the example he set during his ministry here on the earth. I am a Mormon because I prayed about it. Through diligent prayer over many weeks time I received a very clear and personal answer that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is the church that I should be a member of. I am a Mormon because it brings me joy!

How I live my faith

I live my faith by attending church for 3 hours every Sunday. I live my faith by praying and studying the scriptures on a daily basis. I live my faith by teaching my children about Jesus Christ. I live my faith by volunteering to help at church. I live my faith by visiting other women in my ward and studying the gospel with them. Ultimately, I live my faith by striving to be a true disciple of Jesus Christ on a daily basis.
