Hi I'm Kelsie Blake

I love my friends & family, singing, music, movies, photography, the beach, I love to travel, I love adventures & I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I grew up in Southern Utah and love the red mountains and spending time outside. I am the 2nd oldest of 7 kids and that includes my step siblings as well. I love my family more than anything. They have always been there for me and have supported me through everything in my life. I have the best parents in the world and hope I can follow their examples in my life. I love watching movies and just hanging out with friends. I especially love Disney movies. I love reading and you can always find me with a book in my hands. I love going on adventures and doing crazy things! I'm usually down for whatever things people want to do. Music is my life! I love playing the piano and learning new instruments. I like almost all types of music and can listen to music all day. When I'm stressed or have had a rough day you can usually find me at the piano. I love photography and love to take pictures of everything. I love going to the beach and love the sounds, the smell, the feel of the sand, and just everything about it. I love to laugh a lot and have a good time. I guess sometimes I can be a little crazy, but who isn't! I served a mission in the Florida Orlando Mission and I loved every second of it! I am currently attending school at BYU-Idaho. It's been a pretty great adventure so far!

Why I am a Mormon

I have grown up in the church and have had the gospel in my life. I have definitely come to know that this is the true church and has everything in it that we need to live a happy life. I haven't always made the greatest decisions in my life. When I was about 10 my parents got a divorce and for a few years after that I wasn't happy. I started to not care if I went to church or not, I started hanging out with friends that probably weren't the best to be around. Life was dark and I wasn't happy. I know I wasn't fun to be around at all and I fought with my parents and siblings all the time. I felt like my world was ending and didn't feel like I mattered to anyone. It wasn't until my senior year in high school when things started to get better. I decided that I was tired of living in a dark hole and wanted to be happy. I started hanging out with better friends and decided to take church more seriously. It was then that I started to find happiness again. I know that the gospel of Jesus Christ can make us happy. It has to be because it will lead us to Jesus Christ. I started reading the scriptures more often and praying to Heavenly Father. I knew then that I did matter. My family loved me and wanted me to be happy and I knew that I was a daughter of my Heavenly Father and He has a plan for me. I was able to get out of the dark and allow the love of my Savior and Heavenly Father into my life. It is because of that love that I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I love being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints! I strive to live my faith by how I act and in the things I say and do. I strive to show the light of Christ that I have inside me to others and when they wonder what is so different about me, I can tell them it's my beliefs in this gospel. By living a life centered on Christ I know what's right and what's wrong. I won't put myself in any situation that can get me into trouble or go against my beliefs. I strive to serve others and share the gospel with anyone that I associate with. I have been able to share the gospel with those that don't have this happiness in their lives. I took a break for 18 months to serve a mission. That entailed sharing this wonderful message with others and helping them to receive all the blessings we can receive while we are here on the earth. I loved being able to share my beliefs with others and help them to find the happiness that I have found in my life through the restored gospel of Jesus Christ. I was able to build my faith in my Savior Jesus Christ and come to know Him and how He has helped me. He died for me so that I could be with my family forever and be able to be forgiven for sins. He has been my source of strength in my life and it's only through Him we can find happiness. I loved sharing this message with others!
