Hi I'm Sam

I run my own business, watch movies with my husband, and can't get enough of my nieces and nephews. I am a mormon.

About Me

Last year, my husband and I graduated from college, packed our bags, and moved out of our home state. First to Denver for 6 lovely months, then to Oklahoma, where we'll be for the next 4 years. Now, with my husband in dental school, I started my own business and have begun writing again, both of which fulfill and excite me enough to get me out of bed with a smile (almost) every morning. I read a lot, write a lot, work some, travel a lot, miss my family, love my dog, love chocolate chip cookies, watch movies with my husband, and don't go to chick-fil-a for breakfast as often as I'd like.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a Mormon family, but there comes a point in our lives when we have to decide for ourselves if we want to believe what we've been taught, or take a different path. As a freshmen in college, I first chose to believe when I sincerely asked God, truly not knowing, if this church is the truth. I received my answer, and I still make this choice everyday. Believing the doctrines of Christ makes me a joyful, productive person because I know exactly who I am. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the church that Christ started when he was on the earth. Because it has been restored in its fullness, and because God has spoken to me personally in many ways, I know it is the truth.

How I live my faith

I teach others about LDS temples, and more specifically--preparing to enter them. We often talk about the sacred, not secret nature of the temple. All who are worthy are invited in. The temple is a literal house of the Lord, a place for which I always want to be worthy, and I love discussing it with others. I live my life just as everyone else does, the best I can. I rely on both my Heavenly Father and my own capabilities to make decisions everyday. I know I am God's child, as we all are, and I try to act accordingly.
