Hi I'm Marcella

I am a mother of four, teach preschool in my home and love to bake chocolate chip cookies. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mother of four. I try to wake up each day and brace myself for life's challenges. Being a mother has always been my dream and can be hard each day to fulfill the duties of a mother and do not seem so dream like. But by the end of each day as I coped with whining, getting the kids off to school, changing diapers, wiping snotty noses, relentlessly telling the kids to be nice and stop fighting, fixing meals, cleaning up the house and endless messes I get the priveledge to check in on my kids at night there is a certain magic that takes place! I remember the hugs, the stories, the I love you's, the smiles, the giggles and the funny things they say and it makes it all worth a new day! A new day to greet these beautiful children where Heavenly Father has placed in my hands.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been born and raised a Mormon. I have been raised in the traditions of the church and they don't seem very strange and peculiar to me. I leaned on my parents for direction and teaching but there was a time that I wanted to know for myself. I wanted to know if what I believed was right. I read the book of Mormon and the standard works, I prayed with a sincere heart and I recieved a special witness for myself that I cannot deny that this is the true church. Jesus Christ is my Savior and helps me get through each day! I cannot deny the special witness when I continue to choose the right. This world can be so troubling at times and feel so draining at times but with knowing the truth that there is a God who loves me, and I do have a Savior Jesus Christ who atoned for my sins, I can honor and obey the commandments and endure to the end to recieve the full happiness and joy that we have been promised.

How I live my faith

One day at a time! Sometimes one hour at a time. I get so overwhelmed by all the right things to do! I want to be a perfect MOM, a perfect Wife, a faithful woman who visits the sick, makes time for others, and have a smile on my face but as we are mortal beings we cannot acheive yet all the "right" things we want to do. I can focus on the things I can do. I can cntribute more at times then others and this is ok. I do matter and continuous prayer for direction can really help.
