Hi I'm Matt

I grew up in California. I'm an attorney, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm 27, and I have a wife and a 2 year-old girl. I recently graduated from law school and moved here to start a new job.

Why I am a Mormon

Although I was born into the church, I worked to gain my own testimony. I have read the Book of Mormon and prayed to ask God if it is true. God has confirmed to me that Book of Mormon is true, that Joseph Smith was a prophet, and that we have a living prophet in our day today.

How I live my faith

I make a point to pray and study the scriptures both on my own and with my family. It's especially important to me that my little girl grows up with the understanding that she is a daughter of God and that she has a Heavenly Father who loves her. My wife and I are involved at church, and we co-teach a class with 3-4 year-olds.

What do Mormons believe about "eternal life?"

Matt
"Eternal life" doesn't just mean living forever, but it specifically refers to the idea that we can return to live with our Heavenly Father forever. Through the atonement of Jesus Christ, everyone will be resurrected and live again, but only those who are faithful and follow the Lord's example will receive the blessing of returning to live with God.
