Hi I'm Jennette

I was born and raised in Utah. I am a wife, a mother and a 4th grade teacher. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to read, go camping and hiking and sometimes go fishing with my husband. I also have my own shotgun and like to shoot clay pigeons! I teach 4th grade and love the challenge of helping children learn about this beautiful, amazing world that Heavenly Father has created for us. I love to see their eyes light up when they are excited about learning and when they understand something for the first time! I am a mother of four wonderful children ranging in age from 14 to 20 and I am married to an awesome man who makes me laugh every day.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints gives me focus and direction in my life. In a world that is full of cynicism, pessimism and that has a lack of basic moral values, I find peace and happiness in living the gospel of Jesus Christ. The gospel makes me strive to become a better person daily, knowing that I want to return to live with my Heavenly Father after this life is over. I believe in the eternal nature of families and that I will be able to live with my family even after we die. I believe in Jesus Christ and his magnificent atonement. I have a testimony of the truthfulness of the Book of Mormon. I love reading it and discovering how its teachings can be applied to my daily life, both in joys and sorrows. I love being a Mormon - it is my life and how I live is centered around the gospel of Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I work with the young women in our area. As a young women's group we organize and complete service projects, we have weekly acitivities that are goal-oriented. This year the girls have learned vocal skills, participated in various types of physical fitness, learned cooking skills, and how to crochet. These young women are strong, courageous and valiant and fun to work with.

What is the Word of Wisdom that Mormons talk about?

The Word of Wisdom is exactly that - words of wisdom! The Word of Wisdom is simply a healthy lifestyle free from addictive substances. We believe that we should take care of our physical bodies because they are temples for our spirits. Show more Show less
