Hi I'm LeAnn

I grew up in Utah, and live in Arizona. I love music and sports. I work at my kids school. I'm a Mormon and I love it.

About Me

I am a busy mom of 5 kids. I love music and I play the piano and violin. I love to play tennis, and basketball. I enjoy playing and watching other sports as well, including gymnastics. I don't get to play as often as I like because I work and am busy with the kids. I work at my kids school as the instructional assistant for the resource kids in kindergarten through 3rd grade. I also love to type, it sounds weird but I really like it. I also like to knit and crochet blankets and other things. I love to smile and meet new people. I am a fanatic when it comes to the olympics. I love everything about it, I watch as much as I can and I love every sport. I love to watch the hard work pay off and the exciting races, etc. I like to watch movies, and my very favorite thing is to go out to eat, although we don't go that often. It is very nice when I don't have to cook dinner.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a member of this church ever since I was 8 years old. My parents and their parents were members of the church. However, every person has to have their own conversion at some time or another. I have always known the church was true but I think I kind of relied on the testimonies of others. I think my conversion came when my husband was bishop and I had little kids and it was a hard time for me. I started to doubt that the church was true and I was really struggling. A friend of mine helped me realize that satan was working extra hard on me. I read the book called, Our Search for Happiness, written by Elder Ballard an apostle of the Lord. It explains all about our church and what we believe and why we believe it. After I read that book I knew that what I believed was true. I had known it was true all along, but I needed that reassurance. I also know that every time I read about the account of the prophet Joseph Smith I feel a burning in my soul and I know his story is true it is a powerful testimony to me of the truthfulness of the gospel. I have had people ask me if I am a christian. The answer is yes, this is Christ's church. I am a member of this church because Jesus Christ organized this church through a living prophet and I am doing my best to follow the Savior and his teachings.

How I live my faith

I have been a mormon all my life. I have had the opportunity to serve in this church many times. Right now I get to serve with the youth of the church. Specifically the 12-13 year old girls. I teach them on Sunday and then on Wednesday nights they have an activity that I help with. I care and pray for these girls and try to teach them about Christ so they can make good choices as they are growing up. I also have the opportunity to be a visiting teacher. In our church we live in boundaries and then you go to that church in your boundary. The women's group called the Relief Society organizes us so that every sister, or lady gets visited every month. I visit the same 3 ladies every month. I love my sisters and I try to serve and help them when I can. We visit and talk every month to get to know each other and then if they need help with something they can call someone they know. It is an inspired program of the church. I also love to read the magazines that the church puts out. They have inspiring articles of people living the gospel. They also have articles from apostles of the church teaching how to be closer to Christ and doing and being the best that we can. I love being a member of the church. It is not easy, but I know it is so worth it and I know it's the right thing!
