Hi I'm Katie

I love to read, study the earth and history. I love playing games and laughing with my family and friends. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I just received my mission call to Uruguay! I am also a college student majoring in geology. I hope to someday study volcanoes. I love my family and friends. I love to read - especially classic British literature. I work as a secretary/receptionist. I love to babysit and be a nanny. I can't wait to serve the Lord in the beautiful country of Uruguay!

Why I am a Mormon

I love the Lord. I love the blessings that He has given me in my life. I know that He is my Father, and because I am His daughter, He loves me and wants to help me. I know that I cannot become the person that He and I want me to become without His help. I know for a surety that Joseph Smith was a prophet and through him Heavenly Father restored the gospel to this earth. I know that Thomas S. Monson is the current prophet, and is divinely inspired. I love going to church, and learning of Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ while I am there. I am incredibly grateful to the Lord for giving me my family, and my wonderful friends. Without them, I could not face this journey. I am so grateful for the many opportunities that He has given me to grow and learn. This gospel means everything to me, and I am trying my best to live it, and fulfill my role as a disciple of Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I attend our church services every Sunday, and read the scriptures every day. I'm very lucky to attend a university owned by the church, and we have wonderful devotionals every Tuesday that are very uplifting and educational. I am very lucky to have to amazing opportunity to serve a mission in Uruguay, and cannot wait to serve the Lord in that capacity. I will serve for 18 months, starting in the spring of 2013.
