Hi I'm Maggie

I was a single mom. I am graduating with my Bachelors in December, and getting married in July. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love my daughter. My family is the most important thing to me. I'm so thankful that i am blessed not only with my daughter, but also my two soon to be step sons. I'm not fond of school, but I will be completing my Bachelors degree in December after a 10 year struggle to get it done! I'm planning my wedding for next summer too! There is so much going on right now, that sometimes I forget what the important things are. Thankfully my wonderful fiance helps me keep things in order.

Why I am a Mormon

I was single and pregnant and looking for a place to live. This amazingly crazy (or so i thought at the time) family let me rent their extra bedroom. There were only a few rules that i was asked to live by. One of them was that i had to be present at family scripture time and the other was that on Sundays i had to go to a church, either their church or a church of my choice, but i had to go. The first few days i just sat during scripture time, but then slowly i started participating and even looking forward to it. There was an amazing feeling i couldn't describe when i would read scriptures with this family. I also decided that i would attend their church for convenience. It was much easier to ride with them than to find my own ride to a different church. As soon as i started attending the church, i was accepted. I was accepted for who i was, a single, pregnant girl who was so much less than perfect. Everyone wanted to know what they could do for me, to help me. Not to convert me to the church, but because they genuinely cared about me. I started meeting with the missionaries when they would visit the family i lived with. But very shortly thereafter i was taking discussions. And i decided to be baptized. My life was so blessed having His church in my life. I'm so thankful to that family for introducing me to His church.

How I live my faith

I attend church every Sunday. I'm just waiting for my first calling in the church. I was informed today that i get the pleasure of being a visiting teacher. So i will get to be able to help someone with fellowship and love. That is what i excel at. In my home, we do nightly scripture study as well as family prayer. It has really blessed my whole family including the children.
