Hi I'm Caleb

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am 24 years old. I was born and raised in Wake Forest, NC. I am currently working on my masters degree in Human Nutrition from Columbia University in New York City. I plan to attend medical school upon completing this year program. My wife and I both graduated from Brigham Young University April 2013. We have been married from a year and a half and I have loved every minute. I played football and soccer in high school. I play golf whenever I get the chance. My family includes my parents and 5 siblings all of whom are somewhere on the east coast. I served a 2 year LDS mission to Washington State. It was an incredible experience. I learned so much about myself and the impact that the Gospel of Jesus Christ can have on a person. I have an awesome family and love to hang out with them and friends.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a member of this church for my entire life. This does not mean that I did not make the choice to become a member and stay actively involved in the church. I choose to do so. There are several reasons that I have decided to be active in this church. The main reason is because of the lives that my parents and other friends have lived. I see the way my father honors his marital vows and loves my mother, and the way they and so many other friends try to live their lives like Jesus Christ lived his. They are not perfect but have gained a sense of happiness and peace in a world that is neither. That is what I want and I know that the Gospel of Jesus Christ and his church provides that. I also choose to remain active because I know that the Book of Mormon is true. I have read it several times and know that it could not have been thought up from imagination but only God could have inspired that book to come forth. Because of this knowledge I also know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is true as well.

How I live my faith

I am currently attending a University Ward that is a part of BYU. It is a wonderful experience to be with young people my age and all be working together to build the church here. I am actively involved in Home Teaching. This is a program where, once a month, we get to share a spiritual message with one of our friends. This continues to build my faith and testimony as I do it. I am also involved in numerous service projects that our church leads and this gives me the opportunity to show my faith to more people.

Can a husband and wife be together forever? Do Mormons believe that families will live together in heaven?

Yes, husbands and wives can be together forever. They can also be with their children forever. This is the genius of God's plan. He places us here on earth with people we can love and allows us to love and be loved by them after this life. How could heaven be heaven without the people we love? Show more Show less
