Hi I'm Autumn

I'm a Mormon. I'm a college student, from the south, love the arts, and being with people.

About Me

I just finished my first year at Brigham Young University with a major in Pre-Animation. My passions revolve around the arts whether it's sketching, singing, acting, doing makeovers, or dancing for fun. I find the most joy when I am around others, so you'll usually find me making new friends or bonding with old ones. I have one brother and one sister and am the baby of the family. I've lived in Georgia my whole life so the move out to Utah was a culture shock, but I've loved both places I call home.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I cannot deny it's true. With every good thing, Satan tries to make a counterfeit. With love, he has lust and with faith, he has superstition. But the one thing Satan cannot duplicate is peace. The peace I feel when I go to church, or read my scriptures cannot be counterfeited and it something I can't deny because I feel it. It's a warmth that confirms that this gospel is true. This may be selfish but I also just love being a Mormon. The support of those around me in the gospel is wonderful and uplifting. The Lord uses his children as instruments in helping his children. There is a sense of community and love I personally haven't found anywhere else. I love my Savior and with this gospel I grow closer to him everyday.

How I live my faith

I had lived in the south my whole life, so most of my friends were of other religions and only a handful of Mormons were in the entire school. Being called out for my faith was a daily practice for me back in high school because of what other religions taught about us, whether it was true or not. So I always made it a goal of mine to be an example and always represent the church in a positive way. As of recent out at college, I used my people skills to include and love others as Christ would. I joined programs where I could make a difference in other people's lives and even if I don't agree with someone on a lifestyle choice, I love them just as much as anyone else. I live my faith so I may love all of God's children. It does not matter their religious views or sexual orientation. You do not have to agree with someone and how they live their life to love them, because love is unconditional.
