Hi I'm Steve Mortenson

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am an ophthalmologist (eye surgeon). My wife and I have 5 children and 2 grandchildren so far. I enjoy boating at Lake Powell, hiking, traveling, and watching entertaining movies. I recently hiked the grand canyon. In addition to church service I serve on a board that provides eye care to those who can't afford it.

Why I am a Mormon

I have always been a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints but have continued to be active throughout my life because of the my faith in Jesus Christ and my belief that followers of Christ must continue to serve and uplift those around them. I believe that the fullness of the gospel of Jesus Christ has been restored on this earth and that the Prophet and apostles who lead this church have been called of God. The gospel gives me hope and comfort in times of trials and has been a great influence on my children as they were growing up. We have daughter with a spin a bifid a and have seen the hand of God in our lives through the countless acts of service that we have received.

How I live my faith

I serve voluntarily in callings (positions) within the church. I try to live my religion seven days a week by the way I act, treat people and serve my family.
