Hi I'm Kyle

Principal at one of the largest financial firms. Visited more than 25 countries. Greatest happiness is here at home. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I come from Danish and English heritage. Many ancestors were early settlers in Sanpete and Salt Lake counties in Utah. From my early years of high school I had a desire to learn and get involved in the financial service industry. I'm a Bingham Miner, a Snow College Badger, a Utah State Aggie and a T-Bird. I found it facinating trying to understand the principals of successful investing. Even more interesting have been the people I've met both as clients as well as associates and the stories they've shared. I love traveling to different parts of the world, meeting people from different countries and learning about their customs and cultures. I also find great enjoyment working with the youth in coaching different sports as well as being involved in scouting activities. While not an expert in any of these here are a few of the hobbies I enjoy. Basketball, Fishing, Running, Road Biking, Triathalons, Reading and raising our two golden retrievers Cassidy and Liberty

Why I am a Mormon

The first reason that I'm a Mormon is because of my relationship with my Heavenly Father and his Son Jesus Christ. I have often said that if I could find another church that could get me closer to my Savior I would be open to change. Jesus Christ is my solace and sanctuary. In a world with such hazardous storms... physically, socially, economically, emotionally, and spiritually I find that my religion with my Savior at the center provides me with a sort of safe harbor. My faith is anchored in the fundamental principles of the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ. It seems like when the winds start to blow and the storms start to rage I find great comfort being able to find peace in my religion. The second reason that I'm a Mormon is because of the strong focus on the family. I have been blessed with a wife who loves me despite my faults. Children that have learned to put up with me embarrassing them because they know they have no bigger fan. My church provides the teachings, programs and support that allow for our home to also be a refuge from the storms of life. Knowing that it is possible to have a forever family and live together eternally with those you love gives great purpose to how we try to live our lives each day. The third reason that I am a Mormon is community. I believe that I exist to help and serve others. At the age of 19 I had the opportunity to serve a mission on the Iberian Pennissula in the great country of Spain. It really was a great experience as well as an epifany for me. Up until this time I seemed to only listen to one radio station WIIFM (What's in it for me). It was during this time of learning to love and serve the wonderful Spanish people that I realized that WIIFO (What's in it for others) was a radio station that allowed for greater satisfaction and reward.

How I live my faith

Finding a way to make a difference in the life of someone I meet or in the community which I live seems to motivate me. At different times I have been involved in community service clubs such as Rotary, Chamber of Commerce, College and Hospital Boards as well as different professional organizations. I have had the responsibility of leading groups or projects that are important to our company's or community's future. I find just as great of satisfaction as a Sunday school teacher of a youth group. Helping the one in the group that is going through a challenging situation or having a lack of confidence, find their way back to solid ground, or coaching a young boy or girl learn a new skill. I think that it is my faith that has shaped my attitudes and outlook on life. I believe in people. I can be a bit of idealist and seem to try and find ways to give a person a second chance or an opportunity to try again. I am an eternal optimist and believe that, good will triumph evil and that as long as we are on the Lords side we will win.
