Hi I'm Bryson

I was born on the East coast but am a Seattle boy through and through. I'm a missionary in Calgary, Canada, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in the Seattle area after my family moved there when I was two. For my entire life since, that place has always been close to my heart. I love the beautiful culture and nature that combine in that region, and I know that that is a small gift from God to me. I have been accepted to Brigham Young University, and after my first semester, I will be leaving to go serve a mission in Calgary, Canada for two years, starting in 2017. I could not be more excited to give my time and talents to God and the people I will be serving, and I anticipate great blessings to come in my life and the lives of those I love while I serve. I love many outdoor activities, from camping to kayaking, and I absolutely love to learn about the world around me, relating to both the people who live in it and the natural wonder that it is.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a family that was in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (I was born a Mormon), but I know that it is my choice concerning my religion. I choose to be a member of this church, because I have felt that it is true so many times. I have had experiences where my faith has been tested, and I always came out with an even stronger testimony. I know that this is the true church of Jesus Christ, and that its teachings are real.

How I live my faith

I have been blessed with countless opportunities to serve those around me, whether that be in a calling as a leader in my ward for others my age or just simple opportunities to show my love for those around me. Love and compassion, both for God and for those here on this earth with us, is the primary way I consider myself to live my faith.

Are there restrictions based on race or color concerning who can join The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and have the priesthood?

Bryson
Our church allows everyone to be a Mormon and all worthy males, 12 years and older, to hold the priesthood. Anyone can want to know the truth, and so we except anyone and everyone who is interested. We have no preference, nor do we have a tendency to turn anyone down based on what their heritage is. Show more Show less
