Hi I'm Jeannie

I live in Eastern Washington. My passions are horses, volleyball, quilting, reading, and running. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a person of many interests and passions. I love the outdoors and when I get free time I run or hike or play volleyball. Indoors I read, or quilt, or sing. My husband and I both love wood-working. We have 4 kids and a full life.

Why I am a Mormon

I have had many personal experiences that speak to my soul. The Holy Ghost is a voice and a gift from God which has given me answer to prayers and is a very real guide in my life when I have listened. I have been a member all my life, but even so I had to study the Word of God and pray to receive testimony of its truth. I am a Mormon because it is a good influence in my life. The principles of the gospel help me to make decent, honorable decisions with integrity and truth.

How I live my faith

I work with the youth of the church and seeing them grow up to become wonderful, bright, seeking, industrious, and faithful young adults is very fulfilling. I served a Mission in Germany, Duesseldorf for 1 1/2 years, and many of my strongest faith-building experiences happened then. I try to teach my children that prayer is a blessing, that faith is a building block for life, that family and home is a strong, beautiful, peaceful place to return to whenever the world dishes out disappointments. In our family we have a Family Night where the TV and computer are turned off. We focus on each other, laughing, telling stories, playing games, and talking about the scripture stories so our children can learn those lessons and begin to incorporate faith in their own lives. We have made it a habit to go to church weekly, pay a tithe, pray together, and build a loving and trusting home where we can each be buoyed up. We are not perfect, in fact there are some very difficult days, but when we lean back on our building block of faith we are strengthened and see the hand of God working in our lives.
