Hi I'm Donna

I grew up in the southern states of the U.S., moving a lot because my dad was in the Navy. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love spending time with my family. I am married to my best friend forever. I can't imagine it any other way. We had 5 beautiful children, 4 of which are living. I love spending time with my family. I wish my husband could be with us all day too. I spend each day, all day with my kids. I school my kids at home, which I enjoy most of the time. Learning disabilities make it a challenge, but I do my best to encourage them to do their best to deal with and overcome these challenges. For the past couple of years, we've taken care of my mother who lost her battle with cancer in July 2011. She died here at our house surrounded by family and friends. I was so glad that my children were able to be a part of her life, including her last days.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents joined the church when my sister, brother, and I were very young. But even though I grew up in this faith, I know the gospel is true. I love the Lord and trust in Him. There is so much to learn and I have a desire to continue learning what the Lord wants of me. I have a purpose and I am trying my best to fulfill that purpose here on earth. I know that we need to serve the Lord and his people. We are all God's children and He wants us back with Him. I hope to remind others that forget that sometimes. He wants us back with Him. It's hard sometimes, but if we can help out each other, it sure does make it a little easier or at least help endure our load.

How I live my faith

I currently teach Sunday School for the 12-13 year olds. They are wonderful and sometimes they teach you! I love teaching. It always furthers my knowledge when I study for the lessons and read the scriptures. Studying the scriptures and lessons always brings the Spirit closer. It sure does make me happy.
