Hi I'm Cheryl

Hi, I am an Australian and do a lot of volunteer work in the community. I love helping people and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to be creative. I enjoy solving problems and helping people to enjoy tasks so it is always a positive experience. I love to sew and use to make costumes for shows and well as have my own business with my husband. I have always lived in Australia and love my country. I like to write stories and plays as well as see them performed.

Why I am a Mormon

I have not always been a Mormon. I was baptised when I was 20 years old. I use to go to another church and also was involved in a Christian Outreach program which gave me the education on who Jesus Christ is and what He means to me. I decided to be baptised when after hearing the message from the full time missionaries in my area, I came to feel I wanted a closer relationship with Jesus Christ. I felt the church could give me this and when I prayed I knew that being baptised was the right thing to do. I have enjoyed being a member of the church ever since. I am not perfect, but I enjoy learning each and every day about who I am in this world. It helps me to know that I am of value to Heavenly Father's plan just like everyone of us. To the world, I am no one special but to Heavenly Father, I am His daughter and to Jesus Christ, He is my Saviour. No matter what happens in the world I don't need to fear, but just do my best, be a good example and love my fellowman. I know in the church we are all special, we are all equal and we are all important. I love helping others as they usually end up helping me. The best part of being a Mormon is that I don't stand alone. We are all trying to help each other and even those who are not members of our church. The gospel teachers us to be charitable in every aspect of our lives, and to try and be our best, to do better and to share with others. I'm proud that I am numbered among such a fine group of people who are all aiming for the same goal, to return and live with Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ and be with our loved ones once again.

How I live my faith

I do a lot of voluteer work at present helping people with mental illness. I love people in general and feel that everyone needs to be loved an appreciated. I get more out of doing this work then I put in.
