Hi I'm Amanda

I'm a mother. I love my Savior, Jesus Christ. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mother who loves my family and the scriptures. I was raised a Mormon. From a young age I felt God's love for me. That was the beginning of growing my own seed of faith. Since then I have learned for myself that Jesus is my Savior and through Him we can find true happiness. Last year we had our third a child - a beautiful daughter. A week before her due date we learned she had died and would be born still. That event has shaped my life in more ways than I can describe. I like to spend time with my wonderful husband and two sons, garden, and work on projects around the house. I have a Masters degree but feel blessed to stay home and raise my children.

Why I am a Mormon

The gospel of Christ is beautiful. I have always had an innate faith in Christ but when my daughter died it was tested. I started to wonder - did Christ really live on this earth? Was He really resurrected? Or was it just a nice story? I knew my daughter's life wasn't just the time spent in my womb. I know she still lives. Everytime I have prayed and asked God for comfort, for peace, for answers, He has answered me. He is a loving Father who gave His Only Begotton Son for each of us. He loves us so much and He is ready to pour out blessing and answers and whatever else we need - we just have to ask. We have to have faith. My heart is so full of gratitude for a loving Heavenly Father and an amazing Savior in Jesus Christ. I know my family will be together again one day.

How I live my faith

I attend church every Sunday with my family. We partake of the Sacrament, listen to speakers talk about gospel topics, and learn more about the scriptures. I have had many different assignments - I've worked with the youth in both teaching and serving others, I've taught children in Sunday School, and I've planned activities for my congregation to get to know each other. Right now I help minister to the women in my congregation. I do this by visiting them each month and sharing a spiritual message with them. I also have a handful of girls (ages 8-9) in my home twice a month where I teach them something about the gospel as well do other fun activities like crafts or games or learning how to do something.
