Hi I'm Talon

I love learning, serving, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a college student, and I love learning about the world around me.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a member because I believe in a loving Heavenly Father and His son Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ is my Savior. Everything in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints makes sense and follows from this belief in Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. I have had experiences in my life that have led me to faith in Christ. God wants everyone to know that He loves us and that Jesus is the Savior, so He teaches us through the experiences in our lives.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by following in the Savior's footsteps. I really want to be happy, and I have found that I am happy when I help other people be happy. As I do what the Lord asks, and I am blessed. Sometimes it is really hard to follow all of the standards that the Lord has set, but it is worth it. Many people have asked me why I do what I do, and it all comes back to the experiences I have had. I know it is worth it because I live it. What I am ultimately working towards is being with God again. He has given us steps that, if we follow, we can return to be with Him.

How can we increase our faith in Jesus Christ?

The best way to increase or faith in Jesus Christ is to have experiences with Him. We can't walk with him along the dusty paths of ancient Judea, but we can have a personal regulations with Him. The way that I increase my faith in Christ is through doing simple things, like praying, reading scriptures, and going to church. I do those because He has told us that this is the way to know Him. What do Mormons believe is the purpose of life?

In a word, the purpose of life is joy! God wants us to be happy, so He made a plan for us to become more and more happy. We have bodies and make choices, learn and experience all so that we can be happy not only in this life, but in eternity. Show more Show less

Why is family so important to Mormons?

Our families are divinely designed to help us learn and grow while we are here on Earth. There is a purpose to our relationships here, and I've felt so much joy and peace as I've grown in my understanding of that purpose. Now, our relationships with our families are not supposed to end when we leave this life. The joy we can feel in our families is supposed to last forever. The way we insure this is by following the Savior. Show more Show less

In whom should we have faith?

Jesus Christ is whom we should have our faith in. This is so important, because faith in Him leads us to salvation. He overcame all things so that we could have eternal joy. Show more Show less
