Hi I'm Jacqueline

I'm a student and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a 19 year-old California girl who loves to create things. My favorite things to do are to sew and to make treats. I also love to watercolor. My favorites are cookies and Muddy Buddies. I love to find beauty in the world, whether it is art, dance, nature. I also love spending time with my family and with children. I am the third of five children and my family is the most important thing to me in this world. I love traveling and learning about different cultures, customs, and foods. I learned French in high school, and studied the French culture. I was blessed to learn about the culture, customs, and foods of Romania, because I served as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Romania/Moldova mission for a year and a half.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon, because I was fortunate to be born into the gospel, but I have since gained my own testimony of the truths of this gospel. Being Mormon helps me to make right decisions and to constantly try to be better. I learned that the gospel was true, through the examples of my peers. When I was 12, I went to Girls Camp (a church camp for girls 12-18) and girls that were my same age shared how they spent time reading the Book of Mormon everyday.I realized that if they were doing it at the age of 12, so could I. I starting reading the Book of Mormon that week. That was the first time I read the Book of Mormon, but not the last. It took me a while to read it, but once I finished, I prayed to ask God to know if it is true, and I received a personal witness that it is true. The Book of Mormon, along with the Bible, is the word of God, and since it was true, so is the rest of this church, and that is why I am a Mormon. I knew and still know that the Book or Mormon is the word of God, written for this period in time. It guides my life, and shows my Heavenly Father's love for me. From that time forward, I knew the church was true.

How I live my faith

I am currently living my faith by showing kindness to others. I study my scriptures and pray daily in order to continuously build upon my relationship with my Heavenly Father. Living the gospel is that simple: read, study, pray, and try to be a good person. From a young age, I was taught to serve others, and service for me is how I can live my faith. Jesus Christ came to serve, and we are trying to follow His example here on earth. I previously lived my faith by sharing the message of the restored gospel of Jesus Christ with the people of Romania and Moldova. I loved being a missionary, because I had the opportunity to share the message of Jesus Christ with other people. This message has brought me so much peace and happiness and I want all to have it.
