Hi I'm Wendy

I am a mother of 4 boys and a wife to a wonderful husband. I grew up in Indiana. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a very busy Mom. I enjoy baking and selling my baked goods. My family loves to eat everything I bake. I enjoy playing the piano for my self and as a church calling. I am able to work part time to keep myself busy while all my boys are in school. My husband and I love to go out on dates and have fun with each other. Even though we have four boys we are always looking for ways to find time for each other. That is not always a easy task.

Why I am a Mormon

I have always been a member of the church. I have never known anything else. I love the gospel. I love knowing that Heavenly Father knows me personally and wants me to return to him someday. I know how he is able to answer my prayers even though it might not be the way I wanted or thought at the time. After going through a divorce several years ago and dealing with all the turmoil that entails, I went through a very dark time. I thought maybe this isn't for me. Should I just quit going to church and try to live the worlds standards. I didn't think I fit in anymore at church with my "divorced" status. After lots of prayers for comfort and answers on my part and those of my family. I was finally able to understand one of the many important teachings of the Church. Family is not just who lives in your house. After my divorce I moved back with my parents. Family is who loves and wants the best for you. I have a family at home, at church and in my community. Later I was able to meet my new husband and start a family with him. I have learned so much through the trial of my first marriage that has benefited and been a great blessing to my family. I now know that families can be together forever. We can face, handle and accomplish anything together. My family is worth all the trials I have. Without the gospel, I don't know if I would have been able to handle the divorce, isolation I felt and sadness. My new husband and I will be together forever. We will be able to raise our family and stay together forever. I didn't like the trial I went through and wouldn't wish it on anyone. The blessings I have received from it are innumberable.

How I live my faith

My callings at church are the ward organist and the Secretary in the women's organization. I am also a visiting teacher to four sisters in my ward. I love getting to talk and visit with the sisters. Sundays are always busy with teaching and piano playing that I don't have a lot of time to visit. That's one reason why I love Visiting Teaching. I am thinking about joining the choir to sing for the Christmas progam. However, I think I'm a better pianist than a singer.
